Paul J. Schwartz, MD
Psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and psychopharmacology
Dr. Schwartz completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Duke University and his medical school education at the University of Cincinnati, where he became interested in psychopharmacology, psychoanalysis, sleep, and dreams. He then completed his psychiatric residency at Yale University and his 7-year clinical psychobiology fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health. He completed his 9-year psychoanalytic training at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute.
Dr. Schwartz has practiced psychiatry for over 30 years and has published 45 papers on various aspects of psychiatry and psychoanalysis. He currently practices psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and psychopharmacology.
